Flyway Film Festival

Flyway Film FestivalFlyway Film Festival

One of my favorite Independent film festivals, the Flyway Film Festival, is just around the bend. It has become a yearly event to make the semi-short, windy beautiful trek down to Pepin and Stockholm Wisconsin for food, fun and pie. As an extra added bonus it is a great little film festival as well, where you get to mingle with creators and watch their hard work pay off in front of an incredibly appreciative and eager crowd.

I’ve been going every year and I’ve made some great friends because of this festival, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. Last year James and I had a blast getting together and recording a High and Low (Brow) with several of our friends and are pleased to announce we are going to be doing it once again. Also, I haven’t talked James into it yet, but I have every intention of guilting him into recording more of his fantastic Horrorcasts with the filmmakers that are in attendance. In the next few days we will be announcing the theme and the films we will be reviewing at Flyway so be sure to check back for the details, and please let us know if you want in on the fun.

Oh yeah, and when we are done with stuffing our faces with pie we plan on checking out more than a few of the films. I can tell you right now that Alex Karpovsky’s Red Flag is screaming to the top of my just see list. But hey, don’t just listen to me, check out the whole list for yourselves.

I review movies. I run a movie theatre. I annoy people. I let my dogs lick my face whenever they want. Sometimes I'm even a halfway decent human.
