A movie that seems to have flown somewhat under the radar is the new film from Jared Hess, Gentlemen Broncos. A few teaser featurettes caused a bit of a stir last year, but nothing has shown up since, and with the October release date inching closer, it looks like any day now an official trailer should finally start making the rounds. But in anticipation of that day I thought I would post both of the outstanding teasers, which feature Jemaine Clement as the science fiction novelist Dr Ronald Chevalier.

Anything with Jermaine Clement in it is GOLDEN in my book. I saw those Dr. Chevalier bits months ago, I thought it was just a lark on the part of Clement, I didn’t know it was viral bits for a film.
Is this going to be the “GOOD” version of THE LOVE GURU.
Yeah, they released this almost a year ago, how they have managed to keep under the radar since then astounds me. The film is showing at Fantastic Fest in the next couple of weeks, so an actual trailer has got to be coming out any day now. Considering all the big name titles coming out over the next couple of months, this looks like a classic sleeper film. Hopefully it finds an audience and has a nice theatrical run.

I saw the FOTC live at the Greek Theatre earlier this year in LA and am now really stoked for this film.
I saw FOTC earlier this year as well here in Minneapolis. It was outstanding. I highly recommend people try and catch them live.
