The vampire aspect seemed to be secondary to the dysfunctional relationships. It really felt like a really bizarre and dark romantic comedy more then a vampire film. And I agree it was confusing at times, and I'm sure much of the humor went well over my head from the cultural differences. Yet I still enjoyed the hell out of it.

While I hate the whole Twilight phenom, if we keep getting impressive artistic fare like Thirst and Let the Right One In I'm content to suffer through the whole Team Edward debacle. I just wish these films got a bit wider recognition.

I thought it was just okay. Often annoying or confusing. But then again on top of this I'm not much on vampire films. What stands out to me are a number of the fucked up, beautiful images. I'd definitely put it at the bottom of his films.
