Kathryn Bigelow’s latest film, The Hurt Locker, certainly has caught my eye, but I’m still not sure if this film will be as good as it appears it will be. She’s made good films like Point Break and Strange Days, but also terrible films like Blue Steel and K-19: The Widowmaker. And the fanboys will hate me for this, but Near Dark is totally overrated. Hopefully, though, this ends up being another one of her good films.
Interest level: Rising
The Hurt Locker will open exclusively on July 10th at the Minneapolis Uptown Theatre.
