Their are few things more adorable and endearing then cats and dogs crossing the country in the hopes of finding the family that abandoned them. Thankfully, Korea has harnessed the power of their own genetics to bring their own version of this tale to the silver screen in Treeless Mountain. A story of a mother who leaves her two impossibly adorable girls to seek out a new life in a new civilizations. The girls, fearing their mother shall never return, head off into the wilderness, on an impossible journey that will touch your heart and your soul.

Actually that isn’t what the film is about, but it should be. I think one of the girls should be voiced by Dudley Moore too, but no one will listen to me.

Interest level: Take a wild guess.

Treeless Mountain will open at the Landmark Edina Theatre on July 17th.
