I know this film quite well, and saw it in the theatre when it opened, subsequently buying the Lumivision LD and finally the DVD recently. The idea of the dog evaluating and hating peopel was given a most persuasive treatment here. The film is no masterwork, but is rightly displayed here by you as that minor obscure gem.
