Cabin in the Woods Film Festival – Ep 24 – Suspiria

Posted on Nov 23, 2018 by | 1 comment

And we’re back! As a special Black Friday gift to our faithful listeners, Angela and I decided to sit down and record a new episode of the Cabin in the Woods Film Festival Podcast. As if that isn’t gift enough, we invite everyone’s favorite Downton Abbey super fan, James Gilham. He joins us to discuss the remake of one of his favorite Dario Argento films, Suspiria. It is the rare gore filled horror film that even Angela will agree to watch, mainly because it involves witches. And jazz hands. Also Tilda Swinton and the remarkable amount of pickles in the film.

Since it’s been quite some time since we last recorded, we might ramble a bit as we get back into the feel of what a show about movies should actually cover. But, I think you’ll enjoy this episode even if it is a bit rough at times. We cover all sorts of topics, and even talk about Suspiria. I know, what a concept! That being said, the episode was a lot of fun for us to do and we hope to have more for you in the new year. Please feel free to let us know what movies you’d like us to cover , or make sure to tell us your thoughts on Suspiria and how the word should be pronounced in the comments section.

As always, thanks for listening!

I review movies. I run a movie theatre. I annoy people. I let my dogs lick my face whenever they want. Sometimes I'm even a halfway decent human.

  1. Nice to see Gamble and Gillam back from the dead. I thought that maybe James had semi-retired? Angela may have technically been more active (w/ SWTS) in the past year. A bit of echo but no big deal. However volume levels were pretty low.

Would you like to say more?
