Off the Record – King is a Fink

Posted on Oct 28, 2015 by | 0 comments

And here we are, back at the 2015 Flyway Film Festival where I get a chance to sit down with King is a Fink (Julie Keck and Jessica King) for the first time in what seems like years, probably because its been 5 years or so. I met both of them for the first time back at the second or third Flyway Film Festival and over the years have stayed in touch with them primarily through social media.  and it was great to finally get a chance to again sit down and chat with them.

We cover a lot of ground as we talk about how their career’s and roles have progressed and evolved over the years to the twin titans they are today. And trust me, you’ll be hard pressed to find a pair of filmmakers with a more interesting path, or varied filmography than the Finks. As an added bonus, a semi-planned interference by Erica Anderson of Seed & Spark helps fuel an interesting discussion on Project Greenlight and the myth of the Hollywood auteur. Plus we have other digressions as well. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I had making it.

And as always, thanks for listening!

I review movies. I run a movie theatre. I annoy people. I let my dogs lick my face whenever they want. Sometimes I'm even a halfway decent human.
