Off the Record with James Gillham

And now for something completely different. Well, not really, but after getting into some political discussion during the latest episode of High and Low (Brow) – be sure to listen to it here – James asked to take the discussion to its own show where he could flesh out some more ideas on how he’d like to become a more informed voter.

Now, I don’t think James or I have any intention of making Off the Record a recurring politically themed show, but rather this will be more for things we wish to discuss (with each other or special guests) that may not be appropriate, or need to be fleshed out further, than the High and Low (Brow) podcast could provide. When it comes down to it, I like the idea of Off the Record being a series of conversations between friends and acquaintances, whatever the subject might be. Hopefully you enjoy the journey as much as we do.

  1. It’s great hearing Jimmy Gills weigh in on anything, since he always tends to take a Socratic approach — that is, he approaches each topic as though he knows nothing and then clearly demonstrates that he, in fact, is especially knowledgeable. Whether that’s derived from his studies in philosophy or not, or intended or not, there’s a sincere humility to him, which in turn makes it very enlightening for the listener. Looking forward to the next installment!

    • Thanks for your kind words, Nat. 🙂 I am a bit nervous about what sort of criticism I might draw for some of my political leanings; however, I think I learned something by having this little conversation with Angela and Matt.
