This potential little Indie gem of a genre film has been thrilling audiences for several months, and now with the backing of Sony’s Screen Gems production company, Attack the Block stands as good a chance as any of getting somewhat of a wide release here in the States. Though, to start out it is only being released in larger markets. So here’s to hoping audience response is strong enough in those to actually turn this film into this year’s District 9.
From the producers of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Attack the Block follows a gang of tough inner-city kids who try to defend their turf against an invasion of savage alien creatures, turning a South London apartment complex into an extraterrestrial warzone.
