It’s been a little over a month since James and I have had to sit down and record a podcast, primarily due to our contrasting schedules that rarely give us the time to plan a time to record, but with this episode devoted to the Sound Unseen Film Festival that started yesterday and runs through the weekend we knew we had to roll up our sleeves and make time.
We focus on two films playing at the 11th incarnation of Sound Unseen, they being the Broken Social Scene semi-concert documentary This Movie is Broken from director Bruce McDonald (Pontypool) as well as the rather straight talking heads documentary Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone. Both films prove to be great fun and nice departures from standard concert and documentary style film making in various degrees.
As always thanks for listening!

We’ve had an understanding at almost every place I’ve ever lived with roommates and only one bathroom is that peeing while the other person is in the shower is perfectly acceptable. Generally you just don’t talk much though.
the sink?
I have no idea why the kitchen sink was even considered an option.
Oh, and for your first BSS record, get “You Forgot it in People” I never stopped listening to it for about a month after I got it.
And watch “Half Nelson.”
