Still Watching the Skies: Episode 68 “The Trollenberg Terror”

Posted on Apr 25, 2020 by | 0 comments

The Trollenberg Terror

Nat, Cody, and Robert sit down to discuss THE TROLLENBERG TERROR aka THE CRAWLING EYE. A tale full of decapitations, telepathy, fog shrouded killings, aliens, and a fiery siege.

The Trollenberg Terror

THE TROLLENBERG TERROR followed a similar path as THE QUATERMASS XPERIMENT to the big screen. A six-part serial on ITV in 1956 led to a a low budget 1958 film with an American leading man, in this case Forrest Tucker rather than Brian Donlevy.

THE TROLLENBERG TERROR is kind of infamous for being the subject of a Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode. Does it deserve that infamy? Are there redeeming values? Does the story make any sense? What salacious story has Nat dragged up on Forrest Tucker?

The Trollenberg Terror

Mostly we have questions about the story. And some of the science. Which we attempt to answer.
