Still Watching the Skies Hallowe’en Bonus Episode!

Posted on Oct 30, 2014 by | 3 comments

Robert, Cody, and Nat don their sexy smoking jackets and polish their sterling silver coffee pots to discuss three classic adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s even classicer tale The Hound of the Baskervilles: the 1939 version starring Basil Rathbone, the 1959 Hammer version starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, and the 1988 Granada Jeremy Brett version.

What kind of dilly dabbling does the devil do in Dartmoor? How does Cody know so much about webbed hands? What is Robert’s strange fascination with the debaucheries of Sir Hugo? And how adorable is that spaniel?

So sit back, light a cigar, swill a snifter of cognac, and drown out the sound of your neighbors’ perverse, pagan rituals with our most audacious podcast to date.

And as always, give us a listen or Download the episode. Also, let us know what you think below or Email Us as we appreciate feedback.

And, once more, next month we explore the long tail as we journey behind the Iron Curtain to travel with the crew of Ikarie XB-1 on a voyage to the end of the universe. Hopefully you’ll join us on that journey of discovery.

  1. To answer the question in the introduction, which I don’t believe we address in the episode, Dr. Mortimer’s spaniel in the Brett version is very, very adorable.

    • Hi Robert,

haven’t listened to this particular episode yet, but I’ve really enjoyed the past few and looking forward to it. Just wanted to say I really enjoyed your stint on the Director’s Club podcast, very informed. Just about to listen to James’ guest appearance for the Romero ep.

      • Glad you’re enjoying the podcast. I was pleased with how the Directors Club podcast came out, too.
